PUDSEY CIVIC SOCIETY

" A voluntary organisation established to further the past, present
and future interests of Pudsey and its environment. "

What ever your interest, The Pudsey Civic Society will add to your knowledge.

An annual fee entitles members to two half yearly Journals giving details of the Society's
general activities as well as including informative articles, photographs and sketches
on various aspects of Calverley, Farsley and Pudsey's life and buildings, past,
present and occasionally future.
...
There are monthly talks during the Winter.
The Summer months bring evening walks in the neighbourhood,
generally with experienced guides passing on their knowledge of the area.
...
Some members prefer to take action on life today,
vetting Local Authority planning applications, especially watchful on the green belt areas.
...
For the more physical, volunteers meet once a month out in the field,
working to ensure that Public Rights of Way are clear, protected and maintained.
This project is supported by the Leeds City Council Parish Paths Partnership.
